Yvonne Ridley, a British woman raised as a devout Protestant, acquired international attention when she was captured by the Taliban, yet converted to Islam. As an internationally acclaimed journalist, Ridley has worked or the BBC, CNN, ITN and Carlton TV while traveling to Afghanistan, Iraq and Palestine.
